Thursday Night is Paella Night in January
A serving of our seafood Paella
Widely regarded as Spain's national dish, but most Spaniards consider Paella to be a regional Valencian specialty.
The Valencian paella is widely considered to be the original recipe and consists of calasparra rice, green vegetables, meat (chicken and rabbit), land snails, beans and seasoning such as saffron, rosemary and occasionally lemon.
However, over time the seafood Paella varieties have become more and more popular, so much so that a Seafood Paella is now considered the quintessential Spanish Paella. Of course, being located in Nelson we have to agree - and our Seafood Paella is authentic to it's Spanish roots - and to the great fresh seafood of the Nelson region.
Now you can enjoy a classic Paella in sunny Nelson. For the month of January, every Thursday night will be Paella Night at Comida.

Rioja is a wine region, with Denominación de Origen Calificada named after La Rioja, in Spain. Rioja wine is made from grapes grown not only Community of La Rioja, but also in parts of Navarre and the Basque province of Álava. For a Mediterranean wine it's reasonably full-bodied, but rounded and without being overly heavy on tannins. |
