Sprig & Fern Craft Beer Dinner ~ 6pm Thursday 19th November
Tracy Banner heads the small and enthusiastic Sprig & Fern Brewery Team - based at Beach Road, Richmond but a local legend in the Nelson/Tasman region.
Tracy is ably assisted in the brewing team by Martin and Callum. Collectively the brewing team has nearly sixty years brewing experience with experiences in breweries throughout the world.
Callum is a sixth-generation brewer from the Duncan family and has been with the Sprig & Fern for 2 years after building his brewing expertise working for the family business, Founders Brewery. He is incredibly well qualified to talk about the Sprig & Fern's craft beers, the art and science of the brewing process, and to generally talk about beer and food.
We feel exceptionally excited to have Callum host the first Craft Beer Evening at Comida.

Their constant commitment to quality and consistency have proven a winning formula - one recognised at 2019 Brewers Guild of New Zealand Awards, winning a total of seven medals.

There are five craft beers that will be tasted, each paired with a food item or dish from our Chefs:
- Dry Hopped Pilsner paired with a fish Ceviche
- West Coast IPA paired with a bruschetta with squid, capsicum and onion
- Deep Red IPA paired with jerked chicken served on house=made crispy pizza bread and a dark sauce
- British Best bitter style paired with Pork Ribs with seasonal roast Spring vegetables
- Velvety dark Porter paired with rich and creamy Tiramisu
