Alma St Road Works
Road works seem to have become very common across central Nelson ...
Unfortunately, one of the current work sites is Alma Street - right outside the entrance to the Cafe. Even more unfortunately, the fencing and signage of the site obscures the Cafe entrance and gives the impression that we are closed or inaccessible.
We ARE open - both the Cafe and the Shop! There is access on the Alma Street footpath and from Collingwood St.
We have, in response to the sharp downturn in customer numbers, however had to change our opening hours (see above).

This has become a very difficult time for us, the impact of the roadworks is significant, and negative. In this time of economic challenge, the works have added major burden for the business.
We have informed Nelson City Council leadership of the difficult circumstances but, other than one inaccurate MEta post, there's been no support.
The works contractor has been helpful and we do appreciate it, and those many customers who continue to support the Cafe and the Shop.
We will continue to adapt as the circumstances around the roadworks change.

Each Thursday and Friday evening we are open from 5pm to 9pm, serving
our traditional Italian-style thin-crust pizzas, along with pasta treats from our Blackboard Menu.
Our Blackboard Menu is a selection ofstarters, main dishes and desserts made up each day according to the season and what catches Chef’s eye.
